These two were scared, dirty and a handful. You taught them to trust and love again.Four days later I had an AMAZING family looking to add to their family and the rest is history.I am immensely grateful for all of the support and especially thankful for the sacrifice my amazing foster makes to help not one but two dogs in need.Happy Life you two- you have got this!XO

It has been a rough few weeks- so many dogs in need – so many humans with stones in their hearts.I always try to stay positive and do what I can with limited resources.I am grateful for the support I receive and for the people who go out of their way to support me. You all know who you are and I LOVE you.Meet Maggie- not my typical save at 12 pounds soaking wet. When I heard she was at risk I could not believe what I was hearing.Thankfully my good friends at Allied Dog Training took her in and a home was found in no time! Please enjoy her ADOPTION VIDEO!She is home and will be loved and spoiled for the rest of her life!

I try my hardest as a die-hard volunteer at the Yonkers Animal Shelter to keep the dogs sane as I furiously search for adopters. Having a day job and doing rescue means I am at my max daily. I would not have it any other way. This weekend I helped facilitate this adoption- 14 MONTHS in a city shelter- Bonnie is ADOPTED!!!A huge thank you to the shelter for allowing her a long stay. Not a lot of city shelters would ever give a dog this much time and I am grateful. Please enjoy her Freedom video- I am so grateful to this special family who opened their hearts and home to this very special girl!

****Adoption Alert Rita is Home****Her Mom says the following:When I saw her picture on ‘Susie’s Senior Dogs” page I thought she was so sweet and I wanted to know more about her. Then when I spoke to Jen from “ Town & Country K9 Rescue” and she told me Rita’s story I had to meet her! I have to say after my dog passed away last year I didn’t think I could get another pet because of how much it hurt to lose him, but after speaking to Jen & meeting Rita we were hooked! I have to say we never expected to love her as much as we do in just 5 days! She is everything Jen said and more. It feels like she has been in our lives for years not just days! We are so happy we saw your Facebook post and worked with Jen @ Town & Country! We have gotten so much more than we ever expected from Rita and hope that someone hears our story and decides to give a good home to a dog in need.A Special Thanks to Susie's Senior Dogs for sharing her story! All medical for life will be paid by Town & Country- if you would like to donate to her care please go to www.townandcountryk9resq.com .Thank you all for sharing and caring!

Through the saddest tears I am sorry to say that Princess lost her courageous battle with Cancer and went to the Rainbow Bridge last night. At 7 years old she was an owner eviction and ended up in a city shelter. In May, a wonderful couple stepped up and adopted her . Her Freedom video was magical to me. The pictures show pure joy. She knew something good was happening. Little did we know at the time she would only have three months left to live. Her forever parents Jackie and Bill are remarkable people who not only loved her to pieces, they did every thing possible to save her from this awful disease. Her last three months in their loving home was most likely the best three months of her life.Run free Sweet girl. You were loved by many."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Ted Geisel (Dr. Suess)
